Minutia

Yesterday I played around with my macro lens to capture some of the littler things. These are some of the same sites as in my last post--Sandbar, Ulong Channel, Siaes Corner--from a whole different perspective.

Anemone

Not macro, but after spending so much time culling invasive lionfish in the Caribbean it's lovely to see one in its native environment.

Lizardfish
Christmas tree worms

Scorpion leaf fish
Nudibranch

Coral detail

Sponge

Soft corals

Crinoid

Focusing with the macro lens takes a bit of time and maneuvering, so I wasn't expecting to catch anything motile. I think this is some kind of blenny--I love its shy little smile.
